Spuhr's high quality mounts are made in Sweden. The SR 30 mm Low Picatinny mount is one of these robust powerhouses. This mount is durable and resistant to the most severe recoil. The rings contain grooves on the inside that provide extra grip and strength.
In addition, this mount has the ability to mount accessories (a red dot, for example) on it. This has advantages over accessories that have to be mounted on the front end of the gun. Think of the weight that is more central on the rifle due to this mounting than when the accessory is at the front of the rifle.
Another important feature of this Spuhr mount is that it is cut at 45°, instead of the traditional horizontal cut mounts, so the screws do not obstruct the turrets of the viewer. More user-friendly, in other words. There is also the horizontal top that ensures the shooter sees it immediately when the weapon is inadvertently turned. This is also easy to see because of the built-in spirit level.
